RSS Validation, so now what? . . . . . oct 24 2002 — ob5.dat

I was pretty happy when my RSS feeds validated. It's great because it means that RubyJournal produces valid RSS for site syndication, so when people want to subscribe, it'll probably work. But on the other hand, I'm sorry I brought it up. Because i have to wonder, do you care?

Finally I know why I've avoided nuts and bolts tech topics in this weblog. It's because they're boring! That is, unless you're one of about 1 or 200 people that are really into that particular topic.

So now I've got this RSS feed. You can subscribe. Knock yourself out: I promise not to talk about it anymore. At least, not until I'm done with the RubyJournal free weblog software, and start giving it away. And by the way, if you have any idea how to register an RSS file anywhere, let me know. I'm completely in the dark. pools=XML, Blog, Ruby

Validate this! . . . . . oct 22 2002 — ob4.dat

Mark Pilgrim has written a useful RSS validator. Presumably this will move syndication along a more well-grooved path.

I'll have to make sure this site passes the RSS validator by the time they agree on what icon to use. Be sure to vote on which icon you prefer. pools=XML, Blog, Ruby

Valuable RSS Reference on Utah Gov site . . . . . oct 7 2002 — ob3.dat

It talks about creating, validating, and registering one or more of the different syndication feed specs. expires=never pools=XML, Blog, Ruby

Here's a site, RSS Workshop that collects RSS syndication facts into one place.
