What are the chances of talking to a Persian woman during the evening dog walk? In my neighborhood, fairly high, at least as long as I have the dog along.

"My dog loves you," I said. "Thank you. Your dog beauty." Her cousin, with a garden north of Tehran, has dogs and cats in the garden. Persian cats? Beauty. This is roughly what we arrived at, after about 5 minutes of conversational struggle.
