Follow the Zao . . . . . jun 11 2003 — ob52.dat

I took an introspective look at the server logs and found a new browser with more hits than Netscape. Zao. I had never heard of it, so went searching, and two or three noodle parlor web pages later, found the Zao homepage.

It's a research-oriented webcrawler that runs on 16 computers in Japan. You can learn all about how Zao got its name.

Enterprise Architect has been getting rave reviews for their UML tool. One of these days I'll have to check it out when I'm running Eclipse on Windows.

Picked up an apple from Japan yesterday, a Fuji apple. I had intended to eat it for lunch but it was SO EXPENSIVE that I couldn't afford to eat it. Instead I took it home and the whole family shared it for dessert. Our neighbor suggested we serve it with green tea, in a complete ceremony, but there wasn't time. So much for slow food in the modern world.
