Flying south with Gudenkauf as pilot, on the way to somewhere. We followed the road at first, but then were flying directly over a forest, a little bit too low for comfort. Leafy branches from trees ahead seemed to be in the flight path. The plane landed on a vacant lot in the snow next to an abandoned real estate shack. Everyone was very congratulatory about how we landed right at the actual destination. Then we taxied across the snow-covered street because we were going ot be there 9 days, and it would be more considerate to find an actual airplane parking lot. |
