Druids
by Morgan Llywelyn

Vercingetorix was lucky to have a Druid as a soul friend when he united Gaul and took on Julius Caesar. Tragically for Free Gaul, it wasn't enough, but it's a great story anyway. In a fast-paced (and fast-reading) adventure of love, war, betrayal, growth, self-discovery, religion and mysticism, victory and defeat (not to mention sex magic) Morgan Llywelyn really makes that time come alive.

When I studied Latin and ancient history in school, it all seemed eons away, but that's because we didn't read Druids. There's no discussion of woad, but there is a three-page bibliography for further reading about Celts and Romans.
